Jane Povey, Founding Director
Jane has lived in Shropshire since 1995. She has combined working as a GP with medical leadership roles with the aim of working on as well as in the NHS to improve what is on offer for the community served. She combines this with family life with her husband, 3 children and 3 dogs. Music has always been important to Jane and she enjoys playing principal flute in Shrewsbury Symphony Orchestra. She decided to set up Creative Inspiration Shropshire with the aim of combining her passions for healthcare, community, leadership and music as an antidote to increasing frustration at how little we do in communities to enable people to grow and maintain wellbeing and resilience to cope with what life throws at them.
Harvey James, Director (Finance)
Harvey is a retired Chartered Accountant. He has been a Trustee and Treasurer of Shropshire Music Trust and Confide Counselling Service for several years. He was a non-executive director of a number of Shropshire NHS Trusts during the 1990s and up to 2012.
He is very supportive of the aims of Creative Inspiration Shropshire to bring music into education, the health sector and care for the elderly.
He sings in a chamber choir as part of his leisure activities.

Vicky Guise, Evaluation Associate
Vicky is a freelance flautist based in Cardiff. As an orchestral musician, she has performed with the Welsh National Opera, National Symphony Orchestra and Cardiff Sinfonietta. She is the flautist in the Icaris flute and guitar duo, alongside guitarist Will Browne, with whom she has been an artist on the Live Music Now scheme since 2012. They have gone on to develop a keen interest in performing in healthcare settings, becoming artists for Superact, Music in Hospitals, Air Arts and Creative Inspiration Shropshire. The duo were also awarded a lunchtime recital at St Martin in the Fields and have performed at the St David's Cathedral Festival, the Riverfront Theatre and the St. Donats Arts Centre.
Vicky has particularly developed a keen interest in how music can be used within dementia care, following her playing experiences and also in aiding with the care of her grandfather who lived with the disease. She is excited to have been given the opportunity to be part of the evaluation team for Creative Inspiration Shropshire.
